Are you looking to commission an illustration or a set of assets for your game project? Or maybe something completely different? Then you've come to the right place! I'm always happy to take on new commission work. Below you'll find some more info on what I can offer your project.
GAME ART
We are exited to work on game graphics together with small indie developers and as part of larger projects!

It doesn't matter if you are completely new to game development in need of your first custom asset pack, or if you are looking to hire freelance work for an established team of developers; w
ith a MA in game design, specializing in 2D graphics, and years of experience with client work in this area, I'm confident that we can bring your vision to life together.
I work in a vide variation of styles and formats. If you are interested in ordering game graphics with me, I encourage you to think about the following things about your project, as I will need to know these details in order to create a quote for your order:
  • I always like to have a concise overview of the project I'm about to be part of, so a short description of your project and its current status is great!
  • What style are you working with or imagining for your project? If you have any current prototype, moodboards, rference images, etc. please send them along.
  • A list of the assets you need is one of the most important things for me to have in order to put together a quote for your project. If you don't currently have a complete/detailed overview of the items, no worries. I just need to know approx. how many assets and of what kind you need, but the more detail I have the more accurate I can be from the start.
  • I need to know what format you are working with/want me to work with, especially if anything needs to be vectorized. My default is raster files, but I'm more than happy to work with vector as well.
  • I need to know what dimensions you need the assets in. E.g. if you currently with with a grid, if you have existing elements that I need to consider when scaling new assets, or if you have straight up  dimensions for any or all assets you need. If nothing is provided, my default is to work with larger formats so you'll have options for scaling later on without loosing resolution.
  • If there is anything else you think might be relevant, or any other reference pictures I might need, I would love for you to send it along as well.
So, what can you expect when ordering game graphics with me?

Once I have an overview of the project and what you need, I'll put together a quote/custom offer and a timeline for your project. Sometimes it can also make sense to prepare for multiple orders, if e.g. a smaller sample order is needed first, or if a large project might be better handled in parts.

Once we agree on the offer, I'll start working on sketches and/or samples. I always send over sketches/samples for an order to ensure you are happy with the direction, to prevent miscommunication, and to give you more control over the process overall.

If there are any larger changes you would like, I'll usually send over a new round of sketches/samples for an additional review. Once I'm sure you are happy with everything, I'll get the actual delivery ready. In regards to payment, I always expect 50% of the full amount before I start the order, and the remaining 50% afterwards. This is off course to ensure both of us in the process.

Most often this process makes sure that you are 100% happy with the end product because you've been able to oversee the process before the delivery. Should there however be any minor edits after the delivery, I'll off course handle those for free.
PRICING OVERVIEW
Though it is difficulty to list standardized prices for my work, simply because all projects are unique and have different requirements even when they might seem similar, I've still listed a few examples here.

This is in no way a complete list of the graphic packs I provide, or default prices for all projects. The examples below is simply to give a rough idea of the price-point you can expect when I put together a custom offer for you later on. I offer bulk discounts on larger orders.

ILLUSTRATION
I've been drawing ever since I could hold onto a pencil and I have experience in various illustration project such as character design, commercial art, comics, and an illustrated children's book to be published in 2024.

I'm best known for my graphic cartoony style, but I'm poised to be working in a wide array of graphic styles. It all depends on what your project calls for!
If you are interested in ordering illustration work with me, I encourage you to think about the following things about your project, as I will need to know these details in order to create a quote for your order:

  • I always like to have a concise overview of the project I'm about to be part of, so a short description of the illustration(s) you have in mind, and potentially what they are for, is always great.
  • What style do you prefer? You might have a specific style in mind, a color palette, etc. If you have any reference images, please send them along. If no info is provided, I'll default to my usual graphic style.
  • If you are looking to have a portrait or similar made, I'll need at least one reference photo.
  • What format and dimensions do you need the illustration to be delivered in? If no information is provided here, my default is always to create an A3 300dpi canvas in raster format. This usually provides ample room for you to scale the illustration to your needs.
  • If there is anything else you think might be relevant, or any other reference pictures I might need, I would love for you to send it along as well.

OTHER PROJECTS
I'm what many would call a multi-tool designer. Though I specialize in 2D game graphics and Illustration work, I've also worked with other types of projects before. I absolutely love working with game mechanics, and general design flow where-ever I can.
Taking my expertise in clearly legible graphical design, UI navigation, level building for games, and so on, is extremely valuable when working in any type of design. I'm especially skilled when working with  new formats, genre bending projects, gamification, and more like this.

Below is listed some other examples of design-projects I've worked with in the past:
  • Comics. I have extensive experience with creating comics. I currently have a small selection of comics up on both Tapas and Webtoons, and have also worked with clients on custom comics in the past.

  • Logo- and icon design. Logo design is a common ask from many clients, and icon design is invaluable when creating comprehensive UI design. Icons have become one of my most requested orders both in game graphics and as individual orders.

  • Game design. Since I have both formal training and commercial experience with creating solid game design, this is something I often implement in projects. I'm trained in both Unity, Blender, and a handful of other software, as well as having worked on table-top games.

  • Design flow. I've been working a lot with UX design in the past, and is often asked to design UX flow and navigation for both game related and non-game related projects.

  • Writing and worldbuilding. I work extensively with worldbuilding in my personal projects; storytelling through graphics is the core of what I do.

  • Other stuff. I love a challenge, and I've worked on so many different creative projects over the years, both as a grunt worker and as a project leader. Even if your project that falls outside of game graphics and illustration, I would love to go over it with you to see if it falls within my set of skills.

FAQ
Q
Are you availeble to work on a project currently?
It always depends on the project and my schedule, but most likely yes! Send me an e-mail and we'll figure out the details.
Q
Can we set up a meeting over voice call?
I prefer to keep communication over text when possible. This is because I like to have our entire conversation to look back through if anything is unclear later on, or if I need to go over details we've discussed. However, I am open to voice-calls as well.
Q
Can you send over a quote for my project?
I'm more than happy to put together an estimate and offer for your project. I need some basic information before I can do so to make the most accurate offer. You can see lists of what I need to know to put together a quote for you in the "Game art" and "illustration" sections above.
Q
How long will it take to finish my order?
Turnaround time depends on both the size of the project, and my schedule. For a small order or a sample order, you can expect it to be ready in 3-5 week-days. For a larger order the time is usually a week or two. When I have the information I need to put together a quote for your project, I'll also let you know how long I expect it to take to complete.

Q
Can you create graphics for my entire game project?
Off course! You are always in control of the assets for your project, and if you need a large bulk order that is no issue. I do however recommend splitting large orders like this up in smaller parts to avoid miscommunications and large adjustments after the delivery.
Q
What happens if anything needs to be changed after the order is delivered?
I'll always do minor adjustments and edits for free after the fact. This could e.g. be simple color changes, exporting in other formats, changing layering structures, etc. If we are talking about larger and more time-consuming edits, I'll charge an additional fee. This would be in the case that work needs to be redone from scratch, or large chunks needs to be changed.

In my experience it's very rare that orders needs such extensive edits after delivery, since we discuss sketches and samples before the delivery. Orders that needs such major changes are usually due to something having changed in the structure of the project between the approval of sketches and the delivery.

You can in general expect me to do about 1-2 hours of free edits (depending on the size of the project) before I charge anything for it. If I do charge for edits after delivery I'll always let you know before starting the process.
Q
What type of payments do you accept?
I have a PayPal.me that is my main payment method for orders. You can find it under the name @Penzilla.
If you prefer another method of payment, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Q
Have you seen my e-mail or message if you have not responded to it?
I get a lot of new messages from people around the clock. I like to keep office hours, meaning I don't respond at night, and I often prioritize established orders before I take on new ones. If you've send me a message and I'm slow to respond, it's usually because I want to be able to look over what you have send me properly and make sure I have time in my schedule before committing.

You can expect a response time from 1-5 week days usually.
Q
Will you collaborate with me on my project for free / in exchange for percentages on later sales / in exchange for me working on your projects?
I currently do not have time to take on any unpaid work unfortunately. You are always welcome to contact me with opportunities like this, but the answer will most likely be that I do not curently have time.
